Ideas on misfire problem with video
So my bike had a misfire after I got my carbs straightened out when I bought it in October. For the most part it had sounded as if it had cleared up in the 2 months I rode it. Its been sitting since christmas winterized but I fired it up today to warm it up after I put my new exhaust on. It was skipping pretty darn good again and while it didn't get to hot because I didnt go for a ride and it started to snow a little I did let it run a good 10 to 15 min and it was still skipping. I went to straighten up the exhaust after this and noticed the new mid pipe was full of carbon. This has me a little on edge thinking perhaps I have a much more serious problem than I thought. I haven't done any compression testing or valve clearance checks but I'm not certain it would cause this kind of skip anyhow. When it warms up again (it was 50 when I started snowing an hour later) I'll pull the plugs and see what cylinder it is. None of them looked that fowled when I changed the old ones out in october.
So anyway heres a vid of the skip and of the mid pipe
PLEASE take a listen and tell me what you guys think and where you think I ought to start. I know it's hard just from a vid but I'd appreciate any ideas.

Hahaha well I guess it's just me then.
This is my first sport bike. I think the carbon filled mid pipe freaked me out a little and then I heard the engine crackling when I held steady around 2-3k and feared the worst. I just listened to it again myself and I don't notice it nearly as much as I thought I did. My guess is the sound of the new exhaust and the 24 hours I'd been awake at that point where getting to me.
Thanks for calming my fears guys haha. I love this bike like my children
This is my only running one too. My Yamaha is needing serious help. It's no Honda lol.

Sounds pretty good to me too. Not super smooth, but that's what our bike sounds like when it's not under any load. Heck ours even skips occasionally under light load at the lower RPMs, but we get 50 MPG on the highway if easy on the throttle, and it runs like a scalded dog if you really grab a handful.

Thanks fellas. I guess I was just panicked. I was thinking damn I just got this other problem child bike to fix up cause this one was good and I kinda wanted a project. Although I do have to jet and synch the carbs still. The kid I bought it off of put a k&n in and aftermarket exhaust which I just changed cause he had rattle canned it aluminum colored and looked like **** but he never jetted the carbs so factory pro kit should be here Tuesday.
