I know this is a noob question
 

How do you push start the bike? I had to let my bike sit for the past two weeks because I was moving. But now, the bike won't start. So, I figured the battery is dead. I can see the headlight getting dimmer and dimmer with each attempt.
Do I just run along side it, jump on and hit the start button??

Should be a clutch/gas process. When rolling (have to have some speed) release the clutch and apply gas at the same time. Its a timing thing, I do it in my car every once in a while just for fun.

Be careful while doing this!!

Turn your key on, make sure the kill switch is on run. Put your bike in gear. Sometimes a higher gear is better. Make sure the kickstand is up. Hold in the clutch and start pushing the bike. Get your speed up, hop on and release the clutch.

Or just charge the battery. Good luck.

I'm 6' so this works for me.

Set choke full on..... Clutch in.... Click into first gear..... turn key to run position.... use both feet like Fred Flintstone and get moving, maybe to about walking speed, or just a little better.... Dump clutch.

My bike almost always started on the first try within a half second that way. The only times that didn't work, the bike was hot and I started with no choke on, but gave a little gas.

I recommend starting in 2nd gear. First is too low. Get it rolling and dump the clutch. Did mine about 2 weeks ago.

I agree second is better in that it will less likely slide the rear wheel than first will. I had to push start mine 2 weeks ago when my regulator/rectifier went out and starter would barely turn. Iturned the key on, put it in second, got it rolling, hopped on and popped the clutch and it started right up, but it was already hot. If the weather is cold and the engine is cold you might have to do a lot more pushing, unless you live near a hill.
