I just bought a 1997 cbr 600 and all the plastics are off. It was sold to me as is. This is my first bike and have no experience with putting a bike together what so ever. My brother might have an idea on what to do. All the plastics are off including windshield, mirrors, headlight etc. The previous was going to get it painted but then decided to just sell it. Can anyone kindly explain it to me or direct me to website that would be able to aid me. I was told you start from the front and work your way back!? Thank you and ride safe!

 

first thing - you're in the F2 section which is model years 91-94. A 97 model is an F3 (95-98) same frame, but slightly different plastics. They mount very similarly. Get a owner's manual from here:
