Default Hot seat

Yesterday i was riding my bike and realized that the seat was getting hot. Don't get me wrong this isn't a warm sensation it felt like my bike was on fire or about to catch on fire. Also, when this happen my bike suddenly cut off on the highway and then it cut back on. Ne suggestions?

I think it s regulator, happened to me last year, it could bee bad rr or rusty connections or old cables that come in to rr

I switched out the regulator for a new one with fins so i don't think that is what it is.

I had the same problem, I changed the rr and the connector to it and still had the same problem, believe it or not, but all I did to stop it was i toped off the coolant in the resevoir and the radiator. It hasnt got hot in 2 months now (KNOCK ON WOOD)!!

yeah i'm thinking if it wasn't the RR, its just heat coming off the engine. Mine gets really hot if I'm sitting for a period of time. Perhaps a coolant flush and fill would do you a good benefit.

Been riding for a lil over 1K miles and Ive noticed that my seat gets really hot too. Like right where im sitting, crotch area, inner thigh area. My coolant is topped off and Ive put some water wetter in it, but it gets pretty damn hot even riding at night.
