Highbeam useless?

Does anyone else feel that the highbeam on the F2 is basically useless? As soon as I turn mine on, I then can no longer see the roadway as clear as before....sure the signs further ahead are clearly lit, but the area that was covered before essentially becomes a blind spot.

I find my lowbeam much worse, even with the highbeam on I can barely see anything. I just about wrecked three times on my last trip because I couldnt tell the road was curving in front of me until I was right on it. Going 75 mph (and that was just above the speed limit, I wasn't racing) I ended up slowing down to 10 mph below just so I could have more time to react to turns in the roadway.

Dude! That's why it's called "HIGH" beam...You're able to see up farther ahead, while losing the immediate light path in front of you...Now if the F2 had a dual headlight system, that would be bad ass...

Yeah, it sucks. But other than trying to convert it to a dual light system, what can you do other than slow down a little?

I have that one in my bike and the high beam is just as the OP described. Low works much better and you only lose a little light in the distance. Not sure why since lots of auto single headlights work really nice on high even up close as well as far.

It's useless in certain situations.

If you are level to an approaching object you want to avoid, say a dimly lit curb, it gets worse/more useless the closer you get.

However for long distance sight, and if you are coming down a hill like onto a highway on-ramp, it's occasionally a life-saver.
