Default Help

My bike is dead. I was cruising down the interstate when all of a sudden I heard a small backfire and the bike seemed dead. I pulled over to the side of the road and noticed the bike was still running but no gauges or lights were working. The bike then died about 15 seconds later. I turned the key off and back on and nothing happened. No lights or anything. What do y'all think?

Default RE: Help

Wow, weird. This might be an obvious statement, but I would check all the fuses to see if any of them blew out, that would explain the lights and all. (I bet you already did this) Then does the bike try to turn over or is there absolutely no sound from the engine? Also I would check out the ignition coil (because backfire sound you heard, its making me think something with timing). Also before all this happened did you hear any ticking? If you did, have you/did you change your CCT? Hopefully someone on here who know more about our bikes will speak up. Anyways, TTT, keep us updated and good luck.
