Default Header Nut help

looking for six of these but not wanting to pay 3.00 apeice. was thinking does anyone know if any of the big chain store may have something that can replace these. if not i guess ill be heading to the local dealership.(part #12)

If you have one of those bolts most hardware stores can match it

its a 7mm nut can get from a hardware store but its not a flanged nut tho.

if you can get the stud out you can replace it for a bolt its what i done when i snaped a couple changing my exhuast.

can anybody tell me the importance of the nut being flanged?

the only reason it is flanged is so the nut pushes against the whole spring washer that should be between the nut and the exhaust braket.

Spend the little extra cash getting the proper hardware, you'll thank yourself later down the road.

Just remember to use anti-seize on all exhaust fasteners.
