Default Got the coils, what next?

Update on my 150$ bike. I installed the coils today, put in a new battery, checked the spark plugs (they're brand new) and it will turn over, but still no spark. Can anyone tell me what I can check next please?

Sorry, I didn't mean no spark, I meant will not start. Backfires if you give it gas lol

Not an expert but is it possible you have the firing order wrong?

Only if it was wrong before I took the old ones out, cause I hooked it up just as I took it out? Thanks for the input, I'll search and check it

are the carbs clean too? getting fuel? I had a few bikes that would act like this when you tried to start em, and this was the issue.

Definately seems to be getting fuel, but I may have to run up and get some gas cause I didn't put much in the tank, and am only running reserve

Backfiring usually is a timing issue. Did you replace all the coils?

Got it on full choke?(all the way down) If you're back firing that means there's fuel but no/weak spark. The backfire is caused when the accumulated fuel finally ignites and you end up with flames out your exhaust or a loud *** bang. If you're cranking it over too much without it starting then you'll foul the plugs. Try to burn off the excess fuel(after wiping it down) with a mini butane torch. (copy and pasted from another member on here) On the (right)coil that has Black/White & Yellow/Blue (solid yellow, Blue trace) wires is the coil for #1 & #4 cyl. I presume you know which lead goes to #1?

The (left)other coil has Black/White & Blue/Yellow(Solid Blue, Yellow trace) these go to #2 & #3 Cyl

oh yeah..what kind of battery was it? The one that comes sealed and charged or the one where you have to put in the acid yourself? How long did you do the initial charge for? Hook it up to a battery charger and see if it helps.

Btw...I'm jealous of your $150 bike. I spent $540 on a bike with a busted *** motor and plastics. I'm starting to find out there's more to replace. Swapped in a motor and got it running so I'm happy about that. Did my first 1st gear pull up and down the street today. Yeah!
