taking a bit of inspiration for another post decided to get my finger out and get my bike painted. here is what she was like a couple of hours ago i have her all stripped now and and rubbed down. i will put a pic up in a little bit. only had 2 crackes so never bothered with pics as the other post covered fixing cracks really well.

Are you taking them somewhere to get them painted or doing it yourself?

Couple of quesyions if you don't mind answering lol, how do you get paint ready for clear? wetsand, wash with soapy water, let dry and your good? how do you finish the clear so that it turns out that glossy? wetsand it with 2000grit?

If in a booth you can just go straight from paint to the clear. But if its a garage job youll want to wipe it down with an alcohol wipe before clear.

To get the clear really glossy youll want to let the paint cure for the correct amount of time(depends on paint type but usually a few days or a week) and then wet sand and polish it with a buffing wheel and paint polish.

Thats my 2 cents Im sure other people will do things different but thats my way.
