Default Geneology

Here are two clips that show where our bikes came from. The 250 6 cylinder and the 125 5 cylinder. Think, 5 x 25cc cylinders, 4 valves and a spark plug, dual overhead cams and a red line of 19,000 in 1966. The 250 had similar specs with a lower rpm ceiling. Both give new meaning to "explodes into life".

125cc

250cc

And that is why I am a Honda fan for over 47 years.

I've always been in awe of those 5 and 6 cylinder small dislacement GP bikes, from this era... they put a stop to that kind of development, restricting the number of cylinders for the class, in an effort to cut costs - sound familiar?!?
