fuel pump question
well after doing some more research, it comes to my attention that they didnt come with a fuel pump, but the dealership said they did. who has the right answer and if they dont have a fuel pump then how the hell does the fuel get regulated into the fuel rail?
you have a air line from the manifold to the petcock that controls your fuel if i am right.i am trying to figure this all out know being a new owner of a94 f2 that wont start. being i have a fuel problem i think.
f2's dont have a fuel pump, they are gravity feed by a petcock on the gas tank. but for it to work there is a vacum line that comes from the number 1 cylinder just under the carburator. its on the left side of the engine as if you had the bike pointing forward. a rubber hose goes from that to the petcock. and when there is vacum a rubber vavle opens and lets the fuel flow. when i get home from work i can take a pic of the petcock and vacum point for reference, thought my bike is taken apart it should still point you in the right direction
i also need to know where the three outlets on the top of the carbs go. There are two small black outlets on each side then i a bigger outlet in the middle, i think the two on the left are a fuel hose but im not sure...if you could take a picture of that as well thanks again man
sorry guys old post, but i seem to be having the same problem as the above member and i am absolutely going nuts.
the bike runs great if u push it down the road a few times and drop the clutch and finally it trys to start forcing fuel into it, but just trying to start it off the button when its cold it wont do ****.
i am missing quite a few parts and if anyone could be more specific about the whole vacuum fed fuel thing that would be of great help
