Front brake help

My saga started in August. Changing the fork oil. Changed the oil only to find out there was no oil. No oil because the seals were blown. Got that done then the right caliper was dragging so bad the wheel would not turn. Rebuilt both calipers. Still drags but 2 washers shimmed it out so it turns current. Not right but it’s what works. Open to suggestions on fixing that one as well.

Then I couldn’t bleed the lines. It stopped pushing fluid. Bought a master cylinder rebuild kit from All Ball’s. Same problem. I don’t have the proper tools to measure the bore. Figure it must be the master cylinder. Forced to buy one from a junk yard. Worked good for about 30 seconds then the same problem.

Any help is greatly appreciate because I’m at a loss as to what is going on.

Thanks in advance.

use a vaccum bleeder - far more effective.

I don’t think it’s a problem with air in the lines. Fluid is passing through. And I have gotten rid of all the air in the lines. I have pushed through roughly 3/4 of a bottle of brake fluid. It’s that I can’t build pressure in the master cylinder.

No fluids leak out but no pressure either.

So the video shows what happens when you squeeze the brake lever. If it was air in the lines I would think that it would be squishy and soft. This is no resistance.

I guess pull the mc out again and make sure all the seals are there and facing the right way? I still think an air bubble might be the problem but if you're sure....

I checked for air bubbles again. None that I could find. To the master soar again. So put together correct. Although, when you push the piston in no fluid comes out. So now nothing is happening. I tried several times on the old master and the eBay salvage yard one. Same results.

So in my head it’s time for a brand new master or I got a bum rebuild kit.

I’m with Rockpool on this one, I’d put my money on the seals being the wrong way round.
