Default Finally got to take her for a ride

So after stripping her down, rebuilding the brakes, putting on new tires, new forrk seals and repairing a dent in my fork leg, (yes, repairing it) I finally got to take her for a short ride. My shifter is jacked up so to make it work it's running a reverse pattern but all I have to say is WOW!Remember, I'm OLD SCHOOL so I'm not used to this kind of oomph from a 600cc scoot. It won't be long, I'm sure before Iget the liter bike jones. But for now this one is going to be a lot of fun. And to think, I saved her from the junkyard!!!!

Always a rush to get out for a ride...even if it's a short one.

Unfortunately, all of the shots I took of the bike and the work I've done are way too big to post. I don't have any kind of a hosting site. I'll turn my camera down to it's lowest quality setting. I think that will allow me to post some.
Thing is, She 's just another naked work in progress. If you've seen one, you've seen 'em all. I DO have somestrange ideas forcompleting her that you guys might find interesting. The first being the finish. I'm on a TIGHT (imagine a virgin midget) budget, so my "paint" had to be really cheap. I got a truck bedliner kit that I am going to do myself. The guy sent me the wrong color so I have to wait until the right stuff arrives. It's all the rage around here for harley batwing fairings because we have a lot of rock chip damage. It will be flat black on the lowers, front fender, bottom half of the vent fairingsand the center tail piece behind the seat. Dark blue everywhere else. It won't look silky smooth of course but one of the best things is that a wax job involves a wash and a bottle of armor-all. I know all you traditionalists are going to flame the crap out of me but oh well.

OK, I give up. I'm barely computer literate as it is and trying to get a pic on here is giving me a headache.

www.imageshack.us

The easiest way to upload pics, and it will resize them for you.

Select the size you wish (640x480 is best)

Then copy/paste the "direct link to image" line into the photo uploader in this thread.

It's the yellow button on the end of the format line right above the text, picture of 2 mountains andthe sun or something.

Woohoo, I sound like a nerd!

I'm not sure this worked. Here is the "before" pic. The day in February I brought it home.

Here's a link to the before shot
http://img503.imageshack.us/my.php?i...2beforerp1.jpg

And here's what she looks like now
http://img503.imageshack.us/my.php?i...ndnakedel4.jpg

And here's what my panels look like
http://img527.imageshack.us/my.php?i...scuffedgp6.jpg

I still need the right side (F3) vent fairing (access panel) I have a busted up left side that I can repair but the right has eluded me. I need to find one for cheap. The blue liner just arrived today and I'm delaying so as to find that last panel.
