If I had ~$1300-1500 to spend on an F2 front end, the best I think you could do for that would be a F3 front end and some AK-20 cartridges. The cartridges run 1K with springs and are excellent, as good as you can fit in a 41mm fork. You can keep your triples, you get nice floating rotors. You just lose out on the bite of 4 pot calipers, which is a bit overrated for street use.

I talked to Lindeman Engineering the other day and asked about modding a 1990 gixxer 750 fox shock for my f2. They said never ever put a shock from a different model bike on your bike. They said I would be better off having my stock 94 f2 shock rebuilt for track days. Might need a spring change though. I sure some people have never heard of them. But they been in the business for years. Read about them in the 90's in Sport Rider and were highly recommended. They have still have ads in Sport Rider. Also one day turn around on rebuilds.

They apparently aren't familiar with the Twin Clicker then - it's just like the Penske, Ohlins, or any other similar setup where for the most part the body of the shock is universal, then the spring, internal valving, stroke, spring perches, and end attachment are set up for whatever specific bike it is going on.

Someone that is familiar with the TC is completely capable of configuring it properly for use with your bike. My TC came off a Gixxer - I shipped it off to Daugherty Motorsports who still specializes in the Twin Clicker rebuilds - I had it back in 2 weeks ready to bolt on and go - and it really transformed the ride of the bike.

My install thread is here: https://cbrforum.com/forum/f2-tech-9...talled-124368/

edit:
I'm not saying that the Gixxer TC you have (or are looking at) will definitely have the correct body/shaft length to be able to be reconfigured - but contact Jamie Daugherty and ask him for sure. He told me when I was asking him about reconfiguring the TC I bought if he couldn't make mine work for the F2, then he had a couple in his shop that were the right one for my bike. He would just rebuild that one for me and keep the Gixxer model I shipped him to sell to a Gixxer owner down the road. I do agree with Lindeman that you shouldn't bolt the Gixxer shock up and ride it as is, but for a shop of their experience, I can't believe they can't reconfig the TC to your bike.

Well guess what? I got a fox shock for my F2, sent it to Jamie at Daughtery for a rebuild, got it back and its going on this week for the track day week end 7-15/7-16 at Summit Point Main and Shenandoh. Also printed the Fox Manual to get a starting point. I will definitly report when I get back. Oh yeh, I almost forgot, bought another F2 Fox shock just for the heck of it, I cant belief I won the bid. Of course it needs rebuilt too. But what the hell.
