Default f2 suspension and brakes

hey ive been looking to upgrade my f2 suspension and brakes, i was going to go with an f4i rear shock, as for the fork i was going to keep the stock but put racetech springs, replace all the seals, and put 15w racetech superslick fluid in. Are emulators and valves worth the money??? and also ive seen people talk about cartridges on here...what do these do exactly and where can i check them out???? and for the brakes i was going to do SS front and rear lines, new pads etc...but i cant find any rotors...any ideas????? any other ideas to improve my braking and handling would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

I can get the SS lines and Wave rotors for you if you want. Send me a PM an I'll check availability and give you a deal. Galfer currently has them in their dealer catalog, but its possible they could have discontinued them.

Galfer SS lines, HH pads, fluid $135

http://www.yamahafz1oa.com/forum/showthread.php?t=77308

This killer deal came up onan FZ1 forum and thought it was good enough to spread the word here. Good till the end of the month.

They ship from Idaho USPS and I think give a $12 credit

I'm not sure how accurate what I read was, but supposedly the F3 braking system is a fair amount better than the F2 system. If I needed a better braking system, I would just swap out the F2 front end for an F3 one and but the HH pads nad make sure I had the braided lines. My bike currently just has the F2 brakes with the HH pads and a set of braided lines from I don't know when. If I grab the front hard, I could probably go over the front. I know it stops in no time.

emulators are for the forks.

The F3 brakes arent compatible with the F2 forks, gotta switch to an entire F3 front end like Mike mentioned.

One thing you need to watch out for is the people who say F3 calipers work on F2 forks and wheels and vice versa. From what I have read on this and other forums, the F3 is a floating disk setup and the F2 is a floating caliper setup. Also, the F2 forks have the tab that hold the speedo drive and the F3 does not. The rotors are completely different and the rims are different because of the rotor mounting location.
