Default F2 Redline...

Anyone here have the ***** or the stupidity to run their bike into the redline?

I had mine at 14.5k on the track because I wasn't paying attention. Just curious if anyone has had theirs higher and if anyone has broke their engine doing so, and at what RPM?

There's a revlimiter at redline, you shouldn't be able to surpass it... I've hit redline and it cuts off spark to prevent it from self destructing.

Well, 13k is redline... unless you are talking about topping out the tach which maxes at 15k?

Yeah... at 13.25k RPM (indicated on mine) the bike "redlines" and the revlimiter prevents you from exceeding that amount. You shouldn't be able to exceed it.

You can force it past redline by dropping the clutch into a lower gear while already at a very high RPM... but you'd be making a big mistake for that to occur.

You can't get there on sheer engine acceleration. It will stop you dead at readline.

I have a 92.

Maybe they didn't have them on 91's or mine is broke. ^_^ I wasn't engine braking, it was under acceleration. I was coming out of a long turn and seeing if I could do the entire turn without shifting gears. Once out of the turn I looked down at the tach just as I was about to shift and I was at 14.5k. I didn't lose power, either... everything felt fine.
