Default f2/f3 fairing swap

Ok so my fairings on my bike are crap and I never really liked the paint scheme anyways and I thought I mind as well go with the f3 fairings. I have done some searching and read a bunch of different threads..
I read an order to get the f3 fairings on the f2 you will need to get the f3 fairing stay, f3 tail light and headlight. Is that what I'd need? Some said that you don't even need the f3 fairing stay or tail light just the headlight..Does anyone here have the complete hong kong f3 fairing kit on their f2?

EDIT: Am I better off getting the 1st gen or 2nd gen f3 fairings to fit on my 93?

Headlight for sure. I'd get the fairing stay too, I wouldn't bother with bending and rewelding the F2 stay - f2 stay is prolly sellable on ebay for about the cost of an F3 stay - your net outlay would be near zero. Taillight I dunno - if doing the later F3 tail, 97-98 I think it's a requirement. You don't have to do an F3 tail though - the F2 tail/side pieces match up to F2 and F3 fairings properly. If you wanted to focus on the front/sides first, you could keep your F2 tail parts for now.

is this the only fairing stay I'd need or is this a fairing stay for the sides and rear also?

thats what you need - the F3 fairings line up to the F2 in all of the other mounting spots.

correct. 95-96 F3 fits f2 without problems except the headlight from what i hear. taillight only if you go 97-98. Id stay away from the hong kong fairings. reviews wernt verry good and you might never get them cuz they have to go thru customs first and get taxed and charged up the wazzoo.

try this for your F3 swap. 1995 to 1996 I just did mine. waiting on shipping currently. but i already had my f2/f3 swap before this but needed a new stay, tank, rearset, clip on and gauges (went with F4i gauges) due to a bad friend.

ps. that stay from cycle therapy is good. packaged VERRY well and shipped fast. i thought the price was a lil high for a used part but bought it anyway only to find out it was new, not used. im dumb and didnt read. comes straight from honda though so you might be able to get one at a local honda dealer/service dept. for less.

Would I have to get different gauges to do the f3 swap?
And are all the f3 headlights the same and do I need to get a f3 headlight bracket?

f2 gauges work with the f3 bodywork from all reports. The f3 headlamp needs to bolt into the f3 fairings.
