Default Dyno

Had my 91 F2 Dyno`d a few days ago.

Its cool to stand beside the bike running at full RPM
Previous owner installed a jet kit, and a Leo Vince X3 exhaust.

So it looks like about 86-87 peak horsepower. Does anyone know what stock horsepower should be? Somewhere in the low 80's? I think you might have gotten a few out of the mods....

guys selling F2 race bikes claim 87hp at the wheel and call that "very good for this bike," so I'd say you're doing well.

Yea, I thingk the engine is still ok.....considering its age
I have heard the drive train takes about 13 HP

So what it has lost during the years, maybe the exhaust and jets have brought it back to stock power when new

I agree that the HP is pretty darn good for a bike so old. Good maintenance as well.

have you never been ON the bike when it's running at full RPM?

at a track day this past weekend, some guy had a Ducati Desmosedici - I had no idea what that was until someone told me, so i'll explain it here for those as uninformed as I am (was).

It's a $70,000 true race bike. puts 197+ hp to the wheel. Hear THAT bike at full RPM... I got weak in the knees. maybe even cried a little.

RK peed his pants...

Now i'm wondering to myself what the difference would be between this bike and the 1,000 cc bikes that they use in AMA racing? (Since GP went to smaller engines)
