What do you guys think about these? I'm thinking of getting one because of the wind from driving on motorways or at high speeds. Do they really make much of a difference? Also what about cheap Ebay versions vs £40 legit ones?

Ive heard that they look cool is all I don't really know if they help all that much more than a stock windscreen...

 

They do push the air higher over the bike, it will help with getting your upper body/helmet into the pocket for less wind buffeting

 

I preffer the double bubble over the stock one.
The difference is not great, but it is noticable. Besides it does make the bike look better (at least i think so).

When I first changed windscreen I tried the touring screen fra MRA - which is 2 inches higher, with a spoiler at the top. Although it did shield me better from getting wet on rainy days, the turbulence and head-banging increased. I rode with this for one year before going back to stock and finally to double bubble.

I've found that the double bubble is the best of the three. Just dont expect miracles.

The one I'm currently using, as shown on the picture, is a zero gravity windscreen.

Getting back to the windscreen I prefer the dark smoke look, regardless of the color of the rest of the bike.
I had dark smoke windscreen on my F2 even before i painted it (originally 1991 model benetton colors), and
it looked just as good then. Alternatively you could go for light smoke, but stock clear just doesnt look as good
in my opinion.

 

Can anyone comment on the quality/longevity of the Chinese double bubble windscreens?

 

when i first got my bike it had a zero gravity sr series windscreen on it which i liked. i later had a taller one which i did not like because of additional turbulence and wind noise directed directly at my head like viking mentioned. i have no idea about the quality of the chinese ones but i figure i will pick up a zero gravity sr or double bubble (maybe try them both) this year since i know they are good quality

Aye, not cheap, but excellent quality so I would say they are worth it.

Priced at 79.90 EUR, MRA windscreens are not any cheaper, but these too are top quality.
Their double bubble windscreens goes under the name of racing screens.

 

So the double bubble basically blows air straight into your face as opposed to your chest, and this causes more serious wind noise?
