Default Does anyone know?

I am curious. I just recently heard that the F2 comes with 6 gears. I got my bike used, so it is possible it was modifieed. The thing is I only have five gears. And I hit 135mph in 5th gear at 10000 rpm (so I know I'm not just missing a gear). I know the bike has a stage 2 jet kit. Does anyone know what tranny would have been swapped in? Or am I way off here?

Uh........yeah, you have 6 total gears. 1st - 6th. You have 1 down and 5 up. Count them. It's not likely you have a 5spd tranny in it. I would re evaluate the bike again.

If you only have five gears, its POSSIBLE that your 6th is trashed. pretty much every CBR I've ever seen has a 6 spd tranny. in fact most every bike I know of, except the HDs have a 6 spd in em.

GSXR's had 5 speeds until about 6 or 7 years ago.... I agree with the other posts though. Shift through the gears at low speeds, and make sure you're not missing a gear. I doubt that your 6th gear is trashed, but it's quite possible that 2nd or 3rd is, and you're missing that gear completely when you shift.

I checked today and you guys are right. there are 6 gears. Just when I shift down, it seem to downshift two gears at once (like 5th and 6th). Does that sound right or possible?

It's not possible to shift through more than one gear (up or down) in a properly working tranny. The only way to do that is to kick up or down, release, then kick again. 135MPH at 10000RPM sounds about right for 6th gear to me...
