Default Color Windscreen?

So my F2 has the stock clear windshield.

I wanna put a nice F2 double bubble on it, but I'm debating weather to go colored or smoked.

Red, or smoked? =]

Colored? As in another color than smoked? I run a dark smoked. If you do much night riding where you're crouched, dark smoked is not the windscreen for you. I ride 98% during the day, so, it's good for me. It's very difficult to see through, even with my HID's lighting the road ahead. Light smoke should be ok.
What other color would you consider getting?

I've seen that bike with the Targa Red one and it looked good... maybe one of those new red chrome ones???

A double bubble has a raised "hump" in the middle of it to produce a bigger pocket of air.

The stock windscreen is very low, and directs the wind, while riding at speed, right to your chest. A double bubble windscreen is slightly taller than the stock, which, directs the air a little higher, making it much easier to tuck behind.

As to the red chrome, it would look hot!! But, It would completely eliminate being able to tuck behind the windscreen, as you cannot see through it.

True, but for a streetbike I don't think it's that important. Most guys never tuck down enough to be looking through the screen anyway.

hell with my stock screen if I tucked that far I would have to lay my head sideways down on the tank like a pillow. [sm=morning.gif]

Racer212 is right. I rarely ever tuck at all much less far enough to be looking through a windscreen. But then I'm a freak and sit up even at 90.

There is no way in heck I can use my windscreen-- no matter how much I tuck I cannot get low enough to see thru it.

I can actually tell how fast I am going (in the 50mph - 100mph range) just by feeling the pressure against my chest. I notice that at about 85-90mph tucking with my elbows on my knees is much easier to ride. I rarely go lower than that but I have had my chin to my tank just to see how it was...not good, hard on the neck.

Do what I did- save yourself some cash, and paint it to match your bike.

Just rough it up with sandpaper, (i used 1200) tack it off, and spray. Looks great, costs only paint.

Ghetto fabulous!!!

And I have never been able to look through mine either before I sprayed it.
