Clutchless upshifting?

RE: Clutchless upshifting?
actually i leanrned this little trick at a track day. in any gear rev all the way to redline put alittle pressure on the shift lever (up) then barely back out the throttle and hiit it wide open again.
notes for this to work u gotta be way up in the rpms also the throttle blip has to be lightning fast.

RE: Clutchless upshifting?
I'll point out that the type of transmissions used in motorcycles is completely different from a car transmission and clutchless shifting poses no threat of damage. In fact using the clutch causes more wear! (to the clutch plates)
I'm not going to pretend, I usually use my clutch unless I am REALLY trying to move.
I also clutchless downshift if I am being really lazy, just make sure you're in the proper RPM range for the gear you're moving down to, in racing conditions it is better to rev-match on downshifts though (with the clutch)
