Default Is this chain safe?

Here's where the chain adjustment bolt sits when I adjust the play in the chain. I'm guessing the previous owner put on a too short chain. Anyone know if this is dangerous?

If it's not too tight it's fine, but ideally it should be in the center of the adjustment range

Yep yep... As long as it has the correct freeplay, (and doesn't have any other probs like binding, etc) you should be fine!
Mine is kinda like that, too, because of going up a couple teeth in the rear.
