cct fix
hi guys
i have been reading about all these cct's (cam chain tensioners) going wrong andcausing all sorts of noises,
i had this noise my self so i took my bike to my mate who is a honda mechanic and he has a fix for it,
he turned my stock cct into a manual adjust type
and it works a treat no noise now andits been on there a month

RE: cct fix
i asked my mate how to do the mod and here are has instructions
you remove your stock cct and cut the end off the rear of the tensioner
then you tap a thread into the end for a bolt to fit
then he fits a little piece of rubber between the bolt and the inside of the tensioner arm
he said the rubber is to give a little flex incase you have a tight spot in the chain
you then fit a nut to the bolt for locking the tensioner in place
adjustment
you first screw in the bolt till it touches the chain then back it off 1/4 of a turn
start up your bike then adjust till the noise from the chain stops and then do up the lock nut
