okay. so im buying a new transmission for my f2 in the near future. and i found one for 200 dollarinoes. will i need any gaskets or is there anything else i need to know before i take my motor out and start the swap?

 

why dont you look it up. google.. theres a new thing called bing.com.

 

You'll need gaskets for the head, clutch cover, stator cover, pulser cover, and oil pan.

You'll need a tube of RTV gasket sealer for the cases.

You should replace the oil seals for the shifter, clutch linkage, and output shaft.

Are you sure you're qualified to essentially rebuild your engine?

but i am smart enough to figure damn near anything out. and i grew up around dirtbikes and quads and quite a few friends from HS went to be small engine mechanics. aside from that i also know a few very experienced mechanics.

I just thought since i was on the forum i may as well ask.
