Default brakes, brakes, brakes

what are my options for bigger stronger brakes? ive seen f2's and f3's with oversized rotors and am wondering what kind of calipers/caliper mounting adapters are needed to use oversized rotors

I use EBC double H pads and don't even see the need to switch to bigger rotors. I run my bike hard and can easily lock them up if I need to. Cheap answer to your problem.

ok, i could try the double h pads, they wear rotors faster right? because of the pad compound? also i think ill try steel braided lines, from what i've read they make a noticeable difference

I would just try better pads. These brakes if bleed and kept up good are as much braking power as you need.

what do you need to do to mount the calipers? do you need to make brackets to accomidate the larger rotors? and what about the 900rr master cylinder?

Where have you seen an F3 with oversize rotors? It doesnt make sense to me. You would have to make a bracket to space the calipers further off the forks, and the way they are mounted makes that task damn near impossible.

alright, i just found a picture of the particular bike im thinking of and i misremembered the size, they arent oversized, but f3 rotors on an f2 would be oversized, suggestions?

and what about steel braided lines, i found these lines but im also assuming you get what you pay for and say a goodridge line or something more expensive be worth the cost.

upon using the old search function it turns out russell is edelbrock so i assume that theyre good lines

ok what i mean is a direct swap with the forks all you lose is the speedo if your racing you can live without it anyway or get ya a veypor or f4i cluster. the f3 has better forks too.....ive seen some crazy **** like r6 front ends but a f3 is a direct swap and a helluva lot less expensive than the ebc float conversion kit. a f3 rear rim will do ya right too.
