Default Bolt size needed, help!

I need to know what size the stator/alternator cover bolts are. I can't find it in the manual, and ronayers.com just says "6x28". I need the size cause I'm buying them at the local hardware store, not through the dealer. This is the last thing I need to buy for my bike. Anyone?

yeah i am sure that its a 6mm-28 pitch?? but i do know that its a 6mm

do what i do and take on to the hardware store and try it on a nut, then use the nut to find the bolt.. (the stator cover and clutch cover are the same bolts i think)

I don't have any to take to the store, they were all lost when I got the bike. But I'll try the clutch cover bolts and see if they work. Thanks.
