Default Bike sounds like a four stroke four wheeler!

I have a 2 bros slip on and depending on what gear I am in it sounds like a turd, real loud deep tone. My buddies RR with a Yoshi sounds wayyy better, is it the fact that he is fuel injection? I hate when I hear my next door neighbors fuel injected bike start up and sound a lot better...

What gives??? Anything I can do? I just repacked it didn't make it sound any different than before. FML

So just a different slip on will change it from sounding like a 4 wheeler to a FI bike??

more then likely it's just the 2bros slip on, unless you're running less than 4 cylinders. mine sounded like a dirt bike when i was running only two cylinders. (one of my ignition coils quit working)

edit: my roommate has a ninja 500 with a 2bros slip on. sounds like ***. too loud and too farty.

I pulled my 3&4 wires, bike started right up didn't sound any different. But my repair manual says that the left coil runs 1&3 and the right runs 2&4. So it cant be a coil???

Im frustrated with this. Who knows how long I have been running on 2 cylinders

i doubt it's a dead coil. you'll def know if you're running on two cylinders. (no power, sounds like ***.) like i mentioned before, it's probably just the 2bros. A buddy of mine's got a D&D slip on, sounds even better than my yoshi.

Well when im around 3 or 4k rpms, it sounds nice, and it sounds nice up top too. Sounds like a turd at idle and 6-7k. I didn't get a chance to drive it yet. This is the first time I have started it this year. I will drive it tomorrow and see how it performs.

I pulled 2 plug wires and it started and sounded like it did with all four in.

Last summer it was running fine and strong. Still sounded crappy but it ran good.

#1&2 pipes are only getting hot too. Its more than just my pipe.

According to this post, the bike only runs of 2 cylinders until its fully warmed up.

^^????^^^

So I think I have it narrowed down to the rings being bad. When the bike warms up, I think the rings are expanding then the 3&4 cylinders have compression and fire.

ughhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh yeah, that guy in the link I posted has to be smoking crack!
