Where is the temperature reading on the guage? If you're new to sportbikes, they all run pretty hot. I have an 05 R1 and i have burn marks on the inside of my leg from the heat that dissapates through the frame. The frame isnt exposed on an F2 so that wouldnt be a problem. I used to own an F2 and never recall it getting that hot. Check your cooling system.

I started with my F2 a couple of months ago and noticed that mine gets really hot when i stop and then the fan kicks in. You are probibly feeling the hot air being pushed from the bikes motor through the quick access panels. when your riding if you put your hand by the quick access panel you will notice alot of heat, as long as that gauge stays below the red you should be fine. might want to consider flushing cooling system.

By the way since i am here does anyone know what kind of coolant the bike takes?... i am considering flushing mine since its in parts right now cause of maintenance.
