Default barbie bike

well I picked up the barbie dream bike ( hey, got it for a great price)...damn i need to get it painted soon though. I talked to the mechanic today, he got it running and is going to change the oil/filter, etc. tomorrow. I'm going to paint it silver. I have the side fairings here at home; they're not oem, they are maier fairings...the girl I bought it from had them zip tied to the bike. I ordered a fairing bolt kit...the question I have is: do the fairings only attach to the frame? when I look at my repair manual, it shows a center piece that the fairings attach to...mine doesn't have this piece...Does anyone have maier side fairings? if so, how do you have them attached.

looking at the picture of your barbie...i mean bike
bolt places for my maier fairings-
top right (zip tie there on yours)
Bottom right, where the triangle thing is at
bottom left, by the brake pedal
middle left, under the side rear fairing
top, above maintenance cover (zip tie there on yours)
