Default Bar-End Mirrors on an F2?

My stock mirrors are worn out so they get pushed over in the wind. I'm debating between replacing them with the OEM style ones, or maybe trying bar-end mirrors, the CRG ones look nice. Is anyone running bar-end mirrors on their F2? How's the visibility? I really like to see as much of what's going on behind me as I can.

The problem with bar-ends is that when you want to look behind you, you have to look down and look away from what's in front of you.

I have my bike all apart, so I can't go out and check if they can be tightened - but pull back the rubber shroud and see if you can tighten them up - just asked another F2 owner and he says there are 2 allen keys to tighten them up.

My mirrors were doing the same thing yours are doing, getting pushed over in the wind. After I pulled the rubber shroud back and tightened the bolts, like Hershey said, it fixed the problem.

Ya bar end mirrors are pretty crappy. But, they're better than nothing when you dont have an upper.

Ah, that makes sense that you have to look down and away. I think I'll just get some replacement OEM ones. In the future after I'm more competent maybe I'll go naked with my F2 and go with bar-ends, but for now I'll stick with the stock stuff while I'm still learning.

I looked under the rubber shroud and saw a big wad of fuct-tape. I peeled it all out and it turned out that one of the PO's had stripped out the tightening screw. But he included two old spares with the bike, so between the three old mirrors I was able to piece one good one back together, looks like I'm good to go

Haha you guys have a Dr. Nick Riviera icon.. so perfrect. “Well, if it isn’t my old friend Mr. McGregg — with a leg for an arm and an arm for a leg”
