Default air filter

simple question. Is the stock filter cleanable?
If not which is the best one to go with if i dont wanna jet my bike. I head k&n you have to.

I got a K+N, haven't rejetted and have absolutely fine performance. Thing takes off like a bat out of hell still ya know. I also have a micron exhaust...

I guess everyones different. i just heard it before. Not saying i believe it. but maybe I will try a k&n, worth a shot right

I know that if you by a K & N that it comes pre oiled. You can also get a cleaning and re-oiling kit to clean it. but K & N's are meant to go for 50,000 miles. i think the k&n is 57 or 61 bucks.

if you want the best performance stick with stock.

u can switch to kn and have no problems

The stock filters are great filters, they're right one par with aftermarket ones.

i tried cleaning a stock... didnt go well... it fell apart

Ya the stock air filters are a one time use just like cars. To know if a air filter is good or not clean it out with forced air and raise it up near a light and look at it. If you can see light through it..its good to go still.
