Default Advice -- Temp gauge needle placement...

Hi all! Didn't quite get the answer I was looking for with the search tool.

Reaching out to the community for advice. I'll try to keep it short and direct. I purchased and installed white gauge faceplates for the F2 accompanied by removing and painting the gauge needles orange. I have re-assembled everything to include all needles (speedo, tach and temp). However, I cannot seem to get the temp gauge needle correct.

Now, with this particular gauge, when you place the needle on the post (aka spindle) you can either push it all the way down (which seems to affix and set the needle in that particular position with NO movement) OR there is a magic spot where you can place it on the post where it initially rests on the mid-way point of the post where it "catches" and starts to slowly move and as it gradually rises its lowering the needle to the "correct" (which I'm trying to find) resting point.

Not positive that my description is clear.

Your thoughts folks?

Thank you,
Derek
