ok i got a question.the Rear brake is Really tight and the smallest Little Touch locks the rear wheel up thats how tight its set at.Wheres the adjuster How do i looseing that up so its not so senstive

 

Also another thing I believe that i have a K and N air filter on this But cant Confirm it.Anyone got a picture of there's to post up?for some of the people on here.i just got the back cleaning it up making her Purr!!!

 

The adjuster should be on the bottom of the master cylinder, like a bolt with a locknut I think... Cant recall exactly.

Remember to adjust the brake light switch also.

Are there any part numbers on your filter?

 

the only number on the filter it says "HM MV9 E1"looks like K and N but not 100%.Also i tried Adjusting that lock nut.when i make it go up it only Gets EVEN TIGHTER!..its down right now..??idk

 

I think going down relieves pressure... Think about how the brake works, it will come to you.. not that difficult

I think that's an OEM filter, sounds like a Honda part #.

Just because the paper is red doesn't make it a K&N

 

haha thats not why i thought it was a K and N haha..it just seems like k and N material thats all..So your saying if i keep making that locknut and Force it down farther it should loosen up?I know which nut your talking about but ill give it a shot i guess.

 

Typically K&N has K&N stamped on it somewhere, typically its on the rubber or on the side of the filter.

I can't remember how it works, I just know it's adjustable by some kind of nut/stud combination...

 

My K&N has the K&N logo molded into it.

 

The adjustment that you are getting ready to do doesnt have anything to do with brake pressure. It adjusts the position of your brake pedal only. It sounds more like either the master cylinder isn't releasing all the pressure from the caliper orthe piston is sticking in the caliper and not goinig back in. I would check to make sure the piston in the caliper goes back in without excessive force. If it doesnt open the bleeder and check it again, if it goes in easy with the bleeder open then you will need to rebuild the master cylinder. If not, take the caliper off and rebuild it.
