Default 94 cbr 600

So I got a 94 cbr 600 f2 and i went to top it out today while riding with some other 600s. I topped out at only 115?!? I'm not quite sure why only 115. I know one float needs replacement cause it sticks or something. is maybe that the reason? any input anyone?

my bike is slow too. The bike may need proper jetting, check plugs, air filter, etc etc. My bike has upper 40k to 50k miles on it, it is reliable, but not the fastest. Probably lost some compression throughout the years

Check your gearing as well. If the PO installed a fast accel kit, such as dropping a tooth or two on the front sprocket and increased the number of teeth on the rear, this will affect your top end speed.

as far as I know its stock. its a reconstructed bike. P.O. rebuilt it himself. he put in a low mileage motor from a wrecked 94. now the engine should have about 6k on it, as of yesterday. I'm going to end up gearing it for low end, jetting it and throwing on a slip on in the next couple weeks, but i think i need to solve the 115mph problem first. I guess i'll take a look into the float on the carb and see if thats the problem. I dont think it has any low end gearing but its probably worth counting teeth. anyone selling a tank?

lot of variables there man. reconstructed bike with a motor taken out of a wrecked one, who knows what it could be.
