I could be mistaken but I believe this is the stock seat with a '97-'98 F3 GP style solo tail. The rear section covers the back of the banana seat and can be cut to use the stock tail light. This is also a '97-'98 seat. You can tell by the downward projections near the tank.

They make a similar design for the '91-'96 tail sections. Airtech sells them and I believe a few other companies do as well. I had one on my F2 when I first bought it but I got rid of it because my GF started to ride with me.


I personally like the VFR single sided swingarm... very smooth

 

you had asked about a rear seat cowl, if you go to denniskirk.com and do a search for your make and model of bike, they have them on there. Do have to be painted, but they are only like approx $75.

 

BTW your rattling on start up is most likely the Cam Chain Tensioner, and this not something you can safely ignore. By a manual tensioner from APE and have pro put it in. Shouldn't run you more than a couple hundred to do all of it, and can save you from a total motor replacement.
