i'm bidding on some gauges on ebay. i thought i needed the cover. but the gauges are broken too. the guy has them advertisted saying they'll fit on the f2 and work, but they look a little different. will the fit a 92 f2?

 

ok i just found the link on here that says they will bolt up.. but there's different wiring cuz the f2 has a cable for the speedo. and the f3 has a wire. how hard is it to get the f3 gauge to work then? and what different wiring has to be done.

 

I think all the wiring should be the same, but the speedo won't work. You'll have to get some type of electrical speed sensor to work with the F3 guages. When I say the wiring might be the same, I mean that they probably won't just plug right up. You might have to cut the connectors from the wire harness and the guage harness and splice the colors together. Make sense?

 

yeah. sounds like a pain in the ***. i wish i could just find some on here for cheap off an f2 not an f3. u know neone who has ne? i need the whole cluster.

 

I have a similar problem man. I have an f2 and have a bunch of f-3 parts. Including fairings. I am trying to figure out how to get the instrument cluster to work with my wiring harness. If I do I'll sell you my old one hehe. The wiring is deifferent though. At least the connectors are.
