I was wondering what your guys definitive, Hurricane moment is? What makes you proud to be an owner of a cane? What was the best trip you ever had, or what was the best race you have ever been in, or seen? (real life or TV) If you can afford a better bike, is there a reason why you can't seem to give up on the cane?

hahah sorry guys, it was pretty late when I wrote it. And my grammer/spelling isn't wonderfull. But I just wanted to know what was your moment of zen, that made you decided you wanted to keep your Hurricane forever?
I was going to buy a new bike this spring, but after such an amazing season. I came to the realisation that I'm having just as much fun as, all my friends and their new bikes. And I'm doing it for allmost free.

There are many good times. One was making a fool of a BMW soft top driver, who was showing off to his girlfriend. Left him for dust. Mind you a kawasaki ninja did pas me on one wheel at the same time.
I have no ideas of grandeur, and enjoyed that too.
As for owning one. I'd like an RR but don't want to spend the money on 1) buying it. 2) running it / servicing it. 3) Insuring it.
Running costs are great. My mate brought an engine for £50 off e-bay, set of carbs for £20.
You get RR parts at that price.
As for keeping it. I don't like the jelly mold fairing, and mine has a lot of pink on the origional plastics. It had pink wheels when I got it. First thing I changed.
I'm now in the process of modifying mine with rr plastics. It has been cheap to do so far as I have brought damaged parts off e-bay, and will fix spray them all once they are ready. So looks wise I'll be happy all round with my Hurricaine. Also seeing as it only has 20k on the clock it should be around for a while yet to come. As long as I don't drop it.
So so far apart from rides, I get loads of fun out of working on it.

I just enjoy that it costs very little to keep, mine was even given to me so I am that much better off. The friend that gave it to me said "you know, you can't ride that hurricane forever" and I said watch me
I have a baby coming this January, so $$ will be even more tight, certainly not getting a new one anytime soon! even if I do, I will keep this one, just as a spare and for the fun of it
