What would happen if my wiring shorted on the frame? i suspect that may have happened before i picked the bike up as a new battery does nothing!

 

Well, if you have a voltmeter that's good. Take the battery out and make sure it is charged first. Sometimes when you buy a new battery you need to throw it on a charger for a while.

Then, check your fuses. The fuses are behind the left side 'upper inner' in front of the gas tank. You'll need a 5mm allen. Make sure all the fuses are good, and go from there.

I would suggest checking all your connections. Battery terminals, starter connections, key switch terminals run/stop switch, ect.

Will it do anything? Lights come on? Clicking? Anything?
