from my short lived experience on gravity feeding, it will work so long as you dont take on any major hills. I would do what was suggested earlier and try and pickup a fuel pump from a 98 600. Mine crapped out on me and I had my bike taken to the shop (needed a few other things worked on) and the mechanic had one laying around from a bike that someone left with him for freebie parts. I love having it on there, as opposed to just gravity fed. For my peace of mine I just feel better knowing I have something feeding gas into my engine, especially since I live in Maryland now opposed to Georgia.
