Every once and a while the tach will read twice the RPMs. Anyone else seen this? I disassemble all the wiring connectors under the front fender and cleaned them, but that didn't seem to help. It must be the tach itself...

 

Tachometer Testing...
1. turn ignition on but not running
2. Use multimeter from black w/brown stripe (+) and green(-)on tach, should say 12v
3. use multimeter on ohms to test resistance of wires a) from tach to 6 pin connector near fuse panel b )from six pin connector to spark unit(only the yellow w/blue stripe wire)
3. If ohms are excessive then replace tach. Didn't give a number, or whether to do it with ignition on or not...

My tach was going from normal to zero and then normal. Did so several times. Ran till I turned it off, Now bike won't start...I got it pinned to three things, tach or cdi, or pulse generator. Anyone know, till I get a chance to check it out?
