Default Streetfighter conversion questions

Hey guys I have a 1987 hurricane 600 and I think I am going to convert it into a streetfighter-ish. Meaning I want to install a new digital cluster and new set of headlights. My questions are:

Is it very difficult to convert to digital cluster??
Anyone ever buy stuff from xpostreetfighter.com??

Any advice and/or how to's will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Thanks man, I can't wait to see your fighter. I forgot, but the hurricane has 37cm. front forks right?? i need the right number for the brackets that I want to buy. Wow that's a great site, lots of stuff. Yeah I am thinking of getting dual headlights (horizontal)

thank you very much!!

i wanna go streetfighter to but i have read about people having problems with the air intake once you remove the front fairing i guess the ram air affect that happens decreses performance any info on if this is true or not and if it is how to counteract this woud be great

I won't go into what the real cause is (posted elsewhere on the site I think) but the easiest fix is to either cut a couple of inches off of the snorkels that go between the frame holes and the airbox or remove them and plug the frame holes. You won't have any issues after that and no noticible performance decrease.

what i did with the intakes was take the tank and the cover for the air cleaner off, go to the hardware store and get the tape used on your ducts(it is a shiney silver tape) take a chunk off and cover 3/4 of the hole on the inside of the frame, it is a fit forming tape so press it all around the hole put the snorkels back on make sure they fit nice the reassemble everything, works great and should take1/2hour to do

Wasn't aware of the snorkel issue & I've got one that's streetfighter bound. Did you guys find that the best thing to do with the oil cooler was mount it under the radiator?

Yeah I've seen alot of hurricane streetfighters with the oil cooler mounted under the radiator or running up and down on one side. I just got my front cowl off and I've just ordered dual 4 inch headlights and digital gauge. I hope I can figure out all the wiring and stuff.

http://www.customfighters.com/index.shtml they have some links that have cool stuff and they all have inks, if i trade my gs750 for an 88 600hurricane it will end up a streetfighter badass...if it goes through
