When I first rode the bike, the speedometer needle was bouncing between 35-145 mph and whining loudly. Replaced the cable and now the speedo reads accurately (but still jitters a bit) but the whine is still present. Sounds like it's coming from the speedo itself and not the drive. Any ideas?

 

take it apart, lube it with WD40, see if that helps. my needle jumps when i'm accelerating hard, and whines when its around 40 degrees.
