gps

I would never leave it on the bike if your not with it.There in the top ten of items stolen out of car/trucks in the US.How cold of weather do you ride in?The guys who read my gas meter uses a trigered device that has an lcd screen all winter long.So do a lot of cell phones, car radios, lcd screens for the auto that never seem to have a problem with cold. The gps screen in my trailblazer (stock) radio/gps sits in Michigan winters far below zero and the truck sits out side and never a screen problem in the spring.I would guess heat to be a problem before cold. But unless you leave it out in the direct sunlight I cant see a problem with heat most of the better of the new cars have gps screens in them eye level close to windshield or upper dash and I have never heard of one failing due to heat or cold. And I do know that they make covers to protect the marine gps from spray/rain and you can still see all images. So I dont know, I know a few fall riders from around here I will ask them how it does in the fall last year the coldest ride for me was around 35 degree and the guy with the gps was there. And come to think of it he has had that thing for like the last two years I have known him,and its a crap one to start with.
