Rim Compatibility

Hi, yes you can make the F2 rear rim to fit the F1. No need to change the swing arm. Just careful planning and measuring. You have to do some milling for the rim/sprocket carrier of the F2 rim to make it fit. Also have to make new spacers to center it.
F2 rear sprocket can be used, same chain type, just different length. Also the F2 disc can ber used with the F1 caliper.

awesome! that's the info i'm looking for. could i pm ya on the details of the milling and spacers? I even want to do a write up of the process if that's ok with you eppu? that way others can update the bike like this! i notice this forum, and especially for our gen bike, we lack write up's and DIY project notes.. :/ i'd love to contribute on this process
I've been considering this too. I asked in another forum and they said to make it all fit, you can use an offset front sprocket.
Instead of the f2 rear rim, I'd go with the f3 rim, because to my knowledge it's a little wider and you can get more of a fatty back there

Here's one for you:
If you go with the F2 rear rim... do you have to still run Bias-Ply as the geometry and frame is still setup for running Bias-Ply?
Bear in mind, these bikes are DESIGNED for Bias-ply, tire manufacturers strongly recommended staying with Bias-Ply, and I've heard many many many a negative report of the performance impact of switching to Radials.
These bikes and the F2's bridge a LOT of technology, so intermixing them can potentially have dangerous results.
