Default Recommendation Needed

I was recently trying to take the carburator off of my 89 600f. I cant seem to get the carb off of the block. I took off the choke throttle cable and the fuel line as per the service manuel. But the carb still wont come off it rocks forward and backward but still wont come completely off. Should i just keep pulling or is there something I am missing? and is there anyone that has any spare carb parts from an 89 that is willing to part with them? there are a few things i need to replace. thanks guys.

cheers

On my F2 - I had the same prob - there should be screws on the collar where the carbs attach to the block - loosen those as well. (wasn't mentioned above)

I'm assuming also that the carb assembly is all 4 carbs joined as one unit? I had to really pull up on mine before they came off - seemed like an excessive amount of force required - but they came out. I had to pull them off several other times and each time it was the same way.

i loosened all 8 clamps and still nothing but ill keep pulling and see. I was working on it rocking it back and forth and something cracked on the t joint right past the rubber fuel line going to the 1st and 2nd carb. so thats the piece i need because whenever the engine is running it just shoots out tons of fuel from that connection. here is a picture. I am unable to tell which piece it is from the service manuel so that is my problem. My bother thinks it is a piece of the entire second carb assembly that cracked off regardless the first carbs dont get fuel due to the leak. I can also post a video of what is happening if that will help the diagnostic easier.
red box is where the fuel shoots from.

Loosen all the clamps, spray wd-40 at the junction of the boots and carbs. Give it 5 minutes and wriggle them up and down. A little side to side doesn't hurt either.

You may have to spray the wd-40 on a couple of times. They are a tight fit and if they haven't been off in a while the boots bond themselves to the carbs. Be careful if you pry the boots with anything.

Yes, you probably cracked the fuel tee. it is pretty fragile.

x2 on the tee, very brittle, sounds like damn near everyone breaks it their first time pulling the carbs off, now i dont feel so retarded that i did too when i took mine off.

i would check out hondaparts-direct.com, or your local dealer
carb assy diagram you need;
#6 Joint Set B, Tube p/n 16042-KT8-003
#5 Gasket B Set p/n 16040-MM5-601

it says you need 4 of the gasket b sets. those are all the o-rings for the fuel tubes between all the carbs. there is like 14 o-rings total.

i would recomend changing all the o-rings since you will be splitting the carbs. when i did it, i ordered one set, and matched up the others.

you say its the joint between the first and second carb?

the picture you posted, shows the T between the second and third carb...
the first part number is the T shown
if its a different joint, you will find it in the parts diagram
