Petcock
Hi,
I've got some questions about the petcock on this 1990 CBR:
1) Which way does the arrow point for ON, RESERVE, and OFF?
2) Do I need to turn it off whenever I turn the bike off or can I just leave it on?
Thanks,
Barry

Uh.
UP= ON. In the middle = OFF. DOWN= Reserve. My bike still has the sticker on the uppers, so I'm pretty sure about that. It is always possible that you don't have a stock petcock, so the best way is to take your tank off and find out.
Yes, turn it off when you're not riding. That's what it's for. If you don't, there's a chance the gas will seep into some places in the engine it's not supposed to go. (Through the intake, past the rings, and into the oil.)
