oops
I recently tried charging my 600f immediately noticed the tach go up to 7-8 grand I then removed the charger and tried to roll it off. It fired and the tach again went to 7-8 but the bike was hardly idling with the lights flickering. I tried the continuity tests my manual suggests but stopped when the pulse gen had no cont between like wires (yellow to yellow blue to blue ) Can anyone tell me what I screwd up? Any help would be greatly appreciated
I charged the bike while it was off with a small battery charger the key was in the off pos when the tach went up and it only went up until I turned off the charger but then it went up to 8000 rpm once I rolled it off, however the engine sounded to be at about 900 rpm and sputteringwith flickering lights the throttle had little effect at this point and the bike died after a shortly after it started.I was charging it because it died going down the road and I used all the juice trying to start it up again.I had to have it picked up by a friend and brought home after many attepts to roll it off were unsucsessful When it shut off it was like the kill switch had been hit.I dont know what else can be helpful but I will gladly give any information I can.Thank you for your time and patience
I dont fully understand what you mean by roll off, which is what confuses me here. but I would suggest looking at your regulator/rectifier and confirming it actually isnt burnt up. common issue for these bikes,
Does " roll it off " = push start?
I agree with Hurricane Rider. The R/R is the first thing I would look at. If the battery is dead and the R/R is broke , then the bike won't run properly or not run at all.
