oil dripping out of exhaust port on #2 cylinder HELP!
I need help here, my #2 exhaust port is dripping oil out of it, and I'm not running on more than cylinders 1 and 4 here. whats going on with this thing?
its an 87. I should add that when its running I hear a noise I cannot describe from the exhaust side cam area on the #2 cylinder, that sounds somewhat like a collapsed hydraulic lifter on a car.
Ok as far as the running on only 1 & 4, could be an ignition coil or a pulse generator that is bad.
On your other post concerning valve clearance, are you using the downloaded manual as your reference?

I got the valves figured out eventually, timing is right, but I think something or another isnt right in the motor,
the cylinders are on two separate coils, so I dont think its an ignition issue. it feels more like fuel.

1&4 and 2&3 for 87,88. Maybe an ignition issue.....

both coils are good, and generating a spark that will jump a half inch gap. I'm thinking fuel now, because I just finished retuning my carburetors. all screws are at 2.25 turns out, ignition is strong, so I'm not totally sure what exactly it is.

I think you're pretty close, if not right on there. I'm so tired now that I'm NOT goin back out to screw with it tonight. my feet have suffered enough cold already.
