Default New tires, suggestions anyone?

Its been a few years since I had to put new rubber on the old girl but its time. Just wondering what anyone reccomends for actual tire brands. Going to stick with stock size, but wondering if anyone has preferance over one to another.

I'm interested too. My rear spins if I give it more than half throttle in the rain, and it's always raining here in Seattle.

dunlop gt501's. good high milage tire, good grip wet and dry, good wear.
michelin pilot sport. excellent grip wet and dry. quick wear. pricey.
avon azaro-st. pretty good all around like 501's.
bridgestone bt014. excellent grip dry, okay wet. little less pricey than pilot sports. wears quickly.

I love my pilot sports, but like michigan says they don't last long and they are not cheap. But for all the twisty canyon roads around here its a must.

I picked up these Avons on ebay, the price was right and they shipped quick, the tiresare radials and they have more side wall that the Dunlop 501's which is a plus in my book!

Stock sizes are 110 in the front and 140 in the rear. Do you guys recommend that or to up a size? Thanks. I'm looking at some Bridgestone Battleax BT-45's right now.

I found the BT-45's in sizes 130/90 or 140/80 only. The stock rear is 130/80. What would be the effects of one of the other sizes?

oem sizes is 110 f r, 130 rr.

taller front, slower steering, taller rear, faster turning.

wider is rider preference. you can go wider for more contact patch but imo, 110 and 150 max.

Sorry, I meant 130. So if I go with the 130-90 in the rear, it'll turn quicker, but have a smaller contact patch and be a little less stable, and if i go with the 140-80, I get a slower turn-in but a bigger contact patch and more stability. Is that right?
